I have Intel 3.30MHz, 64 bit window 7 ultimate on my computer. It has 10 GB RAM. Today when I started the windows 7 and I opened the chrome browser.
As soon as I typed the website name in address bar and pressed enter, my computer restarted. Why windows restarts randomly?
I found a lot of reasons for the abrupt and sudden restart of computer.
Reason 1: Overheating of graphic card. Try to add exhaust fan which cools down the motherboard.
Reason 2: It happens most of the times, the drivers are incompatible or outdated. Also sometimes after upgrading the graphic driver, we start getting this problem. Graphics card driver is the main reason behind this problem of random restarts. So try to uninstall the graphics card driver and let the Windows download the most compatible drivers for it.

Just open software and scan
Reason 3: Virus or malware issue. Download the malwarebyte from here https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download and run it on all drives. If you find any infection, just remove them. I found 4 virus which were related to browser modification.
Reason 4: Faulty RAM. If your RAM is faulty then you may face this problem. If you have 2 RAM card then try to use PC with one RAM stick at a time or test RAM with MemTest86. If RAM is faulty try to change RAM.
Reason 5: Power supply problem. Check your SMPS power supply or try to replace.
Reason 6: Changing Power Options
Press Windows key and R
Type powercfg.cpl and press enter
Click change plan settings
Click change advanced power settings
Double click processor power management
Double click minimum processor state
Select 5% from the range menu.
