1. Affects digestion:

According to specialists, consuming cold beverages and water constricts blood vessels, which eventually hinders digestion. Additionally, it prevents the body normal digestion-related nutrient absorption process. Drinking water that is too cold might make you dehydrated since your body has to work harder to raise the temperature to make up for it. The additional energy required to control the temperature may have been put to better use by aiding in digestion and nutritional absorption.

2. Also responsible for changing heart rate:

Cold water lowers heart rate. The vagus nerve, which is a crucial component of the body autonomous neurological system and regulates heart rhythm, is stimulated, making it the tenth cranial nerve. Drinking cooled water activates the nerve, which lowers the heart rate.

3. Resulting in constipation:

The digestive process requires water to be consumed at room temperature; however, drinking cold water might cause constipation. The meal freezes and hardens when it passes through the body when you drink cooled water, which is the cause. One of the main reasons of constipation is the contraction of the intestines.

4. Shocks the body:

Your intestinal health suffers as a result of the temperature mismatch caused by drinking chilly water. After an exercise, your body finds it challenging to absorb cold water. Drinking cold water immediately following an exercise may cause chronic stomach ache since the water shocks your body.

5. Throat infection:

Drinking ice-cold water raises your risk of developing a sore throat and nasal congestion. Cooled beverages, especially after meals, increase mucus production and expose the respiratory system to a range of inflammatory infections. Therefore, make every effort to avoid drinking cold water.
