The holiday of Janmashtami commemorates the anniversary of birth of Lord Krishna. The auspicious occasion, also known as Krishna Janmashtami and Gokulashtami, is observed this year on August 18 and 19.
Foods to offer Lord Krishna :
1. Makhan Mishri
It is the favorite cuisine of krishna. He used to eat Makhan without telling Yashoda. Making makhan mishri is quite simple. All you need to do to make this offering for Lord Krishna is churn white butter and combine mishri. If you would like, you can also include some chopped dried fruits.
2. Peda
One of the most well-liked sweets in Indian cuisine, the peda is also a favourite sacrifice to Lord Krishna. This dessert is made with mawa, milk, ghee, sugar, and cardamom powder. This mithai is so tasty because of how straightforward it is.
3. Malpua
Another common Janmashtami food in the eastern region of India is a pancake made by combining flour, water, milk, sugar, and cardamom. It is dipped in sugar syrup after being deep-fried in oil and then presented to Lord Krishna.
4. Panchamrit
The mixture, which is produced with fresh milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar, tulsi leaves, and butter, is used to wash Lord Krishna at midnight. It is given to followers after rites.
5. Kheer
This dish was a favourite of Lord Krishna. On Janmashtami, kheer is a fantastic offering to make the God happy. Rice, milk, sugar, fried fruits, kesar, and cardamom powder are the main ingredients in this milky pudding.
