1. DO YUAN
Chinese painter Do Yuan (ca. 934–ca. 962) lived during the Ten Kingdoms and Five Dynasties era. He is renowned for his landscape artwork, particularly works done in monochrome ink.
2. GU KAIZHI
Chinese politician and painter Gu Kaizhi was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, and produced his first work in 364. Gu Kaizhi disclosed the painting theory in works like The Painting of Yuntai Mountain, Introduction of Famous Paintings of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, and On Painting.
3. QI BAISHI
One of the most well-known contemporary Chinese painters, Qi Baishi (1864–1957), did not adopt western artistic influences like other painters of his day did. Baishi is notably well-known for his paintings of shrimp.
4. CAI GUO QIANG
Chinese artist Cai Guo Qiang was born in Quanzhou, Fujian province, in 1957. He focuses his drawings on aspects of feng shui, Chinese philosophy, and medicine. Guo-Qiang has won numerous honours, including the 48th Venice Biennale International Golden Lion Prize and the Alpert Awards in the Arts.
5. SHEN ZHOU
During the Ming era, Shen Zhou was one of the most well-known Chinese painters (1368-1644). Zhou was skilled in a variety of techniques and styles that showed his vivacious and friendly demeanour. Zhou was very skilled in drawing plants, fruits, vegetables, and flowers in monochromatic ink.
6. JUNG LEE
Jung Lee is a trained photographer from Seoul, South Korea, whose works combine photography and sculpture. Lee is recognised for her captivating images of neon tube-based text works that explore the visual possibilities of language.
7. LADY AIKO
Street artist Lady Aiko Nakagawa was born in Japan. She gained notoriety for creating the illustrious artist group FAILE. Using collage, stencils, spray paint, and brushwork, AIKO creates intriguing mixed-media works that explore themes of sensuality, femininity, and the beauty of life.
8. PATCHARAPOL TANGRUEN
A well-known street artist from Thailand by the name of Alex Face, Patcharapol Tangruen is best known for his instantly recognisable characteristic baby character that can be seen on walls of abandoned buildings in Bangkok and all over the world.
9. HIROYASU TSURI
Japanese street artist, painter, and sculpture Hiroyasu Tsuri, also known by his stage name Two-One, resides and works in Collingwood, Australia. This well-educated visual artist developed an early interest in graffiti, but after relocating to Australia, where he immediately rose to prominence in the Melbourne street art scene, his artistic career took off.
10. HAROSHI
Haroshi is a well-known Japanese sculptor who lives in Tokyo. He is a self-taught woodworker and an enthusiastic skateboarder. Haroshi employs a meticulous procedure that involves multiple processes to produce these remarkable sculptures.
