Sometime, I compare rituals with superstitions. However, I am a science teacher and according to me, there is science behind everything. How is science related to Indian rituals ?

India is a Pristine land of innumerable traditions and rituals. We lack the understanding and often named these rituals as meaningless or call them as Superstitions.
What is the Significance of Navratri ?
Navratri means 9 auspicious nights. It comes twice in a year, From September to October and from March to April. If you noticed, we celebrate it when the season changes. Our inner chemistry changes when season is changing. Immunity drops at this time and the chances of infection are increased. Fasting was considered to be the good option to save ourselves from diseases. During Navratri, it was recommended to eat light. Either it is Ayurveda or Modern Science, both knows the benefits of fasting. Navratri is the more conductive method for Sadhana. Overall, it helps in the physical and spiritual growth.
Why is the Peepal tree worshipped ?
It releases carbon dioxide two times a day. Women are adviced to walk around the peepal tree early in morning for easy conception. Idol was kept there so that they can follow it diligently. Acc. to Ayurveda, peepal tree has several benefits. You can use peepal tree as ;
1. Leaf juice working as eardrops
2. Bark powder for wounds
3. Fruit is laxative
