Five water kiosks and a maximum of 15 ice cream carts are allowed in each vending area. Thus, a total of 120 trolleys can be accommodated in six vending locations, including 30 water kiosks and 90 ice cream trolleys. According to Upadhyay, this will result in more efficient management of vending kiosks.
According to the NDMC regulation, ice cream trolley trade licences have purportedly been granted. According to the NDMC order, these trolleys would operate at the following six locations: south of C-Hexagon Road, north of C-Hexagon Road, south of Man Singh Road (both sides), south of Rafi Ahmed Road, and north of Rafi Ahmed Road. The district magistrates have also been asked by the NDMC to ensure that civil defence volunteers are stationed in the area for monitoring and law enforcement purposes.
"The District Magistrate of the New Delhi District is requested to ensure that the deployment of Civil Defense Volunteers (CDVs) for duty in the region is rationalised in accordance with the zonal plan so that two CDVs per zone, each shift, are available to support the teams.
Upadhyay claims that officials will ensure that each vending area only has the authorised and required number of carts. Officials will caution tourists not to go into the river on the Kartavya Path. Additionally, they will ensure effective parking management. The enforcement personnel, according to Upadhyay, would ensure that the area was kept tidy and that the other laws were followed.
