I have heard about Char Dham Yatra and I know it's difficult to visit all the Char Dham.
Uttarakhand is a state that welcomes the tourists to visit hill stations and the devotees to worship God. Devotees mainly visit the Uttarakhand for the Char Dham Yatra. This yatra comprises the four holy sites - Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamnotri. These all are situated high up in the Himalayas.
It is believed that a person should complete the Char Dham Yatra in the clockwise direction. Therefore, the journey begins from Yamunotri. Then, visit the Gangotri. After that move towards Kedarnath and at last pay your visit to Badrinath. You may want to know How to reach? So, you can go by a road or by air.
When to go for Char Dham Yatra ?
Due to high altitudes, devotees are not allowed to enter the sites for around six months. The four Dham are shut for six months every year. These are open in Summers from April to October. It is also believed that Hindu should visit the Char Dham once in a life.
