Five fingers are called as :
- Thumb
- Index Finger
- Middle Finger
- Ring Finger
- Little Finger
Now, lets study them in brief one by one.
1. THUMB
It got its name from the ancient English word "tumon", which means thick. As the Thumb is the thickest finger, so this name suits it well.
Thumb is the essential part of the hand because it helps to grab and lift the objects. It is believed that it is associated with the fire element and that it depicts our personalities. By gently massaging this finger, which is proportionally linked to our lungs, we may easily regulate our breathing or restore normal heartbeats.
2. INDEX FINGER
Index finger is also called as first finger or the pointer finger. We use this finger to point over the objects and the word Index itself is called as Point. When we write, paint or grab something, then we use index pointer along with the help of Thumb.
Index finger is located between the thumb and middle finger as you can see on your hand. Air element is present in it.
3. MIDDLE FINGER
Why it is called as middle finger ? It is called so, because it is in the middle of index finger and ring finger. Also it is on the middle of the hand.
Massage with this finger helps to enhance blood circulation and cure vertigo. This finger carries the element of the sky.
4. RING FINGER
Are you engaged ? Did you husband wear you a ring ? If yes, then you must know that ring is worn on this finger during the marriage. It is present after the middle finger and obviously before the little finger.
5. LITTLE FINGER
Little finger is the smallest finger of the hand so it is also called as Little finger, Pinky Finger or the Baby Finger.
This finger is directly linked with kidney and the heart of body. Water element is contained by this finger.
