Why do military/Army Personnel have short hair ?

It is usually seen that the army forces have short hair. What is the story behind this ?

You may have noticed almost all military persons have a short hair. This is called as "Fouji Cut" which gives them a clean and classy look.

Reasons for short hair :

1. They have short hair To save the time in the battleground. Every second is important at the time of battle. Every military person have to wear a helmet. If anyone has a long hair then he will take a time to wear it. And because of a long hair, there are a chances that a hair can go in the military machinery thereby, parts of it can get jam.

2. There in at least one point in the career of a soldier where he have to work in the worst water conditions. To save the time of wetting of hair, these are short. The risks of emergency like sever cold are reduced by the shortening of hair.

3. Short hair are useful in the situation of Close Combat. The opposition can misuse the long hair like he can pull the hair and will win the battle.

4. We also know soldiers have to live for weeks or months without bathing. So, it gets somewhat difficult for them to take care of long hair. Instead, they prefer having short hair.

5. The other reason for short hair is the sense of unity. All will look same with the same hairstyle.
