Doctors use Different medicines for the treatment of adults and children. Parents cannot give medicine to their children by their own without the prescription of doctor. Which medicines are generally used by doctors for children that should be available at homes ?

It is  obvious that it is hard to take tablets or capsules for children. So, they are given  medicines in the form of syrup or powder whenever need.

Commonly used Pediatric Medicines are:

1.  Citrizine Drop
Brand:1. Zyrtec drops  
            2. Cetzine drops 
Uses of this medicine:- used in allergy, sneezing, cough,runny nose & watery eyes.
Dose:0.25 mg/kg.

2. Antispasmodic Drugs:
 Brand : 1. Colimex Drops
               2. Meftal Spas Drops 
 Uses:- used in stomach pain, gas & indigestion 
Dose: 0-3 month - 2-4 drops   
          4month - 1yrs- 5-10 drops 
          More than 1 yr- 1ml

3. Paracetamol 
Brand :1. Calpol Powder
             2. Crocin syrup
Uses: Used in pain 
Dose: 1.5 mg/kg

4. Saline Nasal spray
Brand : . Nasoclear spray
Uses: used in cold, blocked nose, congested chest. 
Dose: 2 drops twice daily
