When to do Yoga ?
According to Ayurveda, you should get up between 4 and 6 AM while the rest of the world is still asleep and practise meditation and asana. In the modern world, it is advised to do yoga either first thing in the morning or in the early hours of the evening. However, each of our judgments about when to practise is influenced by a variety of factors. Your job schedule, habits, worldview, and familial obligations might determine your choice.
A morning routine may not be realistic, for instance, if your morning involves getting boisterous children ready, fed, and on the bus. The same holds true if you have evening commitments every day of the week.
Your unique constitution may play a role in the choice. Others would not even speak until they have had a couple cups of coffee, while some people are ready to go at six in the morning. And even if you do have a peaceful morning, if you have longstanding routines you follow in the hour before leaving for work, it might not be the best time for you. Alternatively, you might want to try practising earlier in the day if you start to nod off by 8 o clock.
