During my childhood there was only one and only one TV channel "Doordarshan". There were so many serials which were shown during80s and 90s.
During 80s, very few homes used to have TV. Black & white TV was available in the market. Rare people had color TV. Texla company used to make B&W tv. Crown was the brand of color tv in those days. Rare rich people used to have color tv.
When I was in class 5th, we purchased Texla delux B&W tv. It used to have a wooden cabinet and a shutter.
"Kalabaaj" (Starring Dev Anand) was the very first film I saw on my TV.
