1. Golden Temple, Amritsar

The shrine, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib or Swarna Mandir (Golden Temple), was created by Guru Arjan Sahib, and on December 1st, 1588, Muslim saint Hazrat Mian Mir ji of Lahore lay the cornerstone. The temple draws thousands of worshippers and pilgrims from all over the world every year since it is one most significant historical sites of India.

2. Red Fort, Agra

From 1648 forward, when the 5th Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, decided to shift the capital of the empire from Agra to Delhi, the Red Fort served as the recognised seat of Mughal rule and authority. It was built with red sandstone and is still considered to be one of the wonders of Mughal architecture.

3. India Gate, Delhi

In New Delhi, there is a war memorial called the All India War Memorial, often called the India Gate. It honours the 82,000 Indian and British soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War and the Third Anglo-Afghan War. The flaming edifice known as the Amar Jawan Jyoti is directly below the archway and represents India eternal, invincible troops.

4. Hawa Mahal, Jaipur

At the crossroads of Badi Chaupad, the main road in Jaipur, rises the Hawa Mahal. It was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and is known as the emblematic structure of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal, one of most significant and culturally significant historical structures, is evidence of the exquisite Rajputana style of building.

5. Jaisalmer Fort, India

The Thar Desert golden sands are home to the Jaisalmer Fort, which is steeped in history and culture. One of the most well-known forts in the world, Jaisalmer Fort exhibits remarkable craftsmanship.

6. Kumbhalgarh Fort, Rajasthan

Among the numerous monuments in India, the Kumbhalgarh fort is one of the five hill forts of Rajasthan. It is located in Rajasthan Rajsamand district and is near to Udaipur. At an elevation of 1,914 m, it is built on the foothills of the Aravalli ranges and is surrounded by thirteen of the ranges high peaks. After Chittorgarh palace, it is the second-largest Mewar fort in Rajasthan.

7. Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh

A city, predominantly made of red sandstone, Fatehpur Sikri was once the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar. It is now a UNESCO world heritage site and a famous tourist attraction. The city offers a fine example of Akbar architectural finesse.
