According to Ayurveda, it is recommended not to drink water after eating bananas. There are certain food items which cause indigestion in the body if you drink water during your meal. It is recommended to wait at least for 15 to 20 minutes to drink water after eating a banana. Consumption of cold water is strictly avoided. It is found that the cold water slows down the absorption and the digestion process in our stomach which in turn cause the gastric problems.
Doctors used to say don't drink water immediately after having the fruits. When we consume the water, the acid gets diluted and the nutrients will not be absorbed. If you drink water immediately, it disrupts the digestion process and the digestive system start working slow.
