Nowadays, majority of population is suffering from digestion problems. The treatment is simple to take capsules that control acidity. But, how gas is formed in stomach ?
If we talk about the common health problem in India, then it may be a gas problem. If a person is above 30 years, the chances of having this issue is increased. Actually it is a natural process, but to control it, we start taking tablets and then suffer from pain and breathing issues. You heart may burn due to it.
How gas is formed in Stomach ?
Gas is formed in our body by different sources. There are 3 such sources.
First, by swallowing air when you eat or drink. Second, from bacteria developed in our large intestine. Third, gas is released when you burp.
When we breathe with mouth and drink water or eating food, then we are inhaling the gas too. The gas moves to our stomach along with the food we consume.
The gas so formed is of five types :
1. Oxygen
2. Hydrogen
3. Nitrogen
4. Carbon Dioxide
5. Methane
Nitrogen and oxygen comes to our stomach through the air we inhale. Through the diffusion of blood, carbon dioxide enters the stomach. Hydrogen moves with the digestion of food and drinks. Methane with the mixing of bacteria with food stuffs.
There are other gases too but there percentage is less than 1%. These builds up smell while bloating. When we eat any food, it goes to the intestine and there it mixed with acid to help in the breakage of food. When the food breaks into pieces, stomach produces gas at the same time. This gas is exhaled through burping.
The bile juice and pancreatic juice will convert food into small units like protein to amino acid. Carbon dioxide isn't converted wholly and the process of building up of the gas starts. The bacteria present in the intestine ferments the carbohydrate and produces gas. This is the major gas from which we suffer.
Antacid are used for these problems.
