Kempty fall is most famous picnic and tourist spot in Mussoorie. It is known for its Milky water streams. Kempty Fall is located at an altitude of 4500 Feet above the sea level, on the roads of Dehradun - Mussoorie. It was developed by a British officer "John Mekinan", for organizing tea parties.
The term Kempty is comprised of "Camp" and Tea" which means tea parties were organized there in the evenings. the pond developed at the bottom of falls, gives an excellent spot for swimming and bathing to tourists. The scenic beauty and stunning view of water stream offers a great point for photography.
There are several shops surrounding the fall to provide food and other commodities to tourists. You can enjoy refreshing bath under 40 feet of Kempty falls. It is easily accessible by cars, taxi or bus and it is open at daytime from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Summers ( April to September ) are the best to give a visit to Kempty Fall.
