1. Remove any distractions
Choose a good location. You must get rid of the distractions you know will keep you from focusing. Set mobile devices in place. Switch the TV off. Close any other open web sites. Away from those who are generating loud noises, sit.
2. Set up a schedule
Try to work in blocks of 30 to 60 minutes with 5 to 10 minutes of rest in between. Knowing you are going to take a break makes it much simpler to push yourself for a predetermined amount of time. The interval is necessary for your brain to rest and assimilate the information.
3. Change up your study methods
Do not restrict oneself to a single mode of study, such as reading a textbook. Create study guides. Take a quiz. Take a look at educational videos if any are available. your notes again. Your enthusiasm in your studies will remain high and your time management will improve with variety.
4. Get some exercise to unwind
The benefits of exercise on the body and the mind are immense. Exercise improves sensation, mood, memory, and attentiveness. Perform stretches to loosen up any parts of your body that may have been stiff from studying. Get on your toes. Lift light objects. Jog for a while.
5. Go to sleep
Your brain can store knowledge that you have learned while you sleep. All that learning is useless without adequate sleep. Getting enough sleep is important for hormone regulation, which will control your mood.
6. Make learning more engaging
Use active reading strategies to increase the impact of your learning and to help you focus. Aloud read the text book. Make a note and read it out loud. You will stay focused on your task because of the numerous ways your brain processes the information.
7. Gratify yourself
We occasionally require motivation to keep going. Create something else as a reward if getting good grades is not enough to motivate you to study.
