Why the McDonald's "golden arches" are red and yellow ?

I have visited McDonald many times. but, I don't know why their golden arches are only red and yellow. What is the reason ?

Most of the restaurants and fast food chains include yellow color for their decoration and brand symbolization because these colors increase the appetite that's why the Mc Donald's Golden Arches are Red and Yellow. The combination of these colors delivers a powerful signal of hunger to our mind.
