Black Chana is a rich source of vegetarian protein, fibres, vitamins, magnesium, iron and many other useful minerals. Generally, athletes consume large amount of Chana daily to enhance their Stamina and endurance. It activates body too much and helps in gaining the strength like a Horse.

Their protein and fibre content will first keep you feel that your stomach is going to be full and heavy and thus reduces your calorie intake.This helps in weight loss. It aids in boosting bone health and is great source of protein for vegetarian people.

Long term use of Chana helps to maintain skin health. They are also beneficial for diabetic patients because it increases the secretion of insulin, which controls the Blood Sugar level. Consuming Chana along with jaggery improves Hb level in patients having anemia.

Its anti oxidative properties helps in lowering lipid level in Heart patients. Only people suffering from high Uric Acid level should avoid eating Chana. Overall, Chana proves to be the Superfood for majority of people.
