The tall plant known as turmeric, also known as Indian saffron or the golden spice, is native to Asia and Central America.

You need only Fresh Turmeric Root to make a turmeric powder.
Procedure :
1. For a minute, thoroughly wash the roots under running water. In a pan of boiling water, submerge these roots.
2. On a low to medium burner, let it boil for 45 minutes. At the top, foam will start to form. Remove the water. Once the roots have totally cooled, cut them roughly.
3. A disposable plate should be covered with a kitchen towel to absorb any extra water. Over it, distribute the cut roots.
4. Do not cram them, if necessary, use additional plates. Distribute them evenly.
5. It is not necessary to keep it constantly in the sun rays. The area by the window should be well-ventilated and illuminated.
6. Give it a week before moving it. Every other day, continue tossing it to achieve even drying.
You will see that the roots start to dry up and shrink over the course of the following week.
7. Make a fine powder by grinding. You might wish to pass the powder through a sieve and transfer any large bits back to your food mill, depending on how powerful your food processor or blender is.
8. Powder is ready and The freshly made spice powder should be kept in an airtight container.
