You may know about NGO, it is a Non Governmental Organization. Two things are most important in it : Trust and Society. People usually consider trust and society as one and the same thing. It is true up to some limit but is not completely true. 

Most of the works do under Society and trust which are beneficial for the society nd Nation. Education is given the main importance in it. All the schools and colleges run with the help of society and trust. First, you have build a society or trust to open a school. 

Difference between Trust and Society :

  1. Societies are registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 whereas Trust is registered under Indians Trusts Act, 1882.
  2. Blood relation is not allowed in Society but trust allows the blood relation.
  3. Minimum 7 Members are required to build the society and there is a requirement of 2 members to form a Trust.
  4. Documents required for Society are CPA, Electricity bill, Aadhar card, PAN card & members Aadhar card. However to build a Trust, you require Electricity bill, Aadhar card, 2 photos & members Aadhar card.
  5. Society should be renewal every year but trust requires No renewal.
